Description

MastaBase is a hard setting plaster based cement for bedding tape into recessed edges and butt joints. It is also suitable for second coating plasterboard joints, internal and external angles and fastener heads.

mastabase has a consistent working time of 45 minutes with a 60 minute setting time. All Siniat jointing and finishing compounds can be used over mastabase as a final coat.

MastaBase Wets out quickly and mixes easily by hand or electric mixer for a smooth, creamy consistency, it is easy to trowel for both hand and mechanical tools, and has good body on the trowel and on the hawk. The shorter working time is ideal for smaller jobs and the quick drying means less waiting before sanding, with time available for fine edges when feathering. MastaBase has good resistance to cracking in internal angles.
